Inland Empire Disaster Relief Funds

Established in 2019 to provide help to residents of Riverside and San Bernardino County Counties

Donations to the Inland Empire Community Foundation’s disaster relief funds are a lifeline for residents of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties facing crises and disasters. Your support ensures that resources are directed with precision to assist our local communities during their most challenging times. When you contribute to the IECF disaster relief funds, you are directly enabling our organization to mobilize rapid response efforts, provide essential supplies, and aid in the recovery and reconstruction process following calamities.

Recently, Tropical Storm Hilary left behind an estimated $126 million in damage across Riverside County. The Coachella Valley was hit particularly hard when rainfall rates approached that of a 50-year storm. IECF initiated a call for donations to its Disaster Relief Fund, which was met with an immediate and generous response from individual and corporate donors. Amazon donated a total of $20,000 in cash and gift cards; First Citizens Bank contributed $25,000 in cash; and the Wells Fargo Foundation donated $25,000 in cash. TODEC Legal Center, a resource center for the immigrant community, was granted funds to assist farmworkers who faced flooded homes, fire and loss of work.

“IECF has a long-standing commitment to fostering resilience within our communities. When challenges arise, our support is unwavering. With the ability to mobilize funds for nonprofits so they reach our neighbors who are most in need, we invite community members to donate today to the IECF Disaster Relief Funds,” Jeremy Hobbs, IECF board vice chair, said. “As a region, we are not just weathering the storm, but building a brighter future, rooted in compassion, solidarity, and enduring care.”

The generosity of our community embodies solidarity and compassion, bringing hope and resilience to our fellow residents in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties when they need it most. Your donations make a tangible difference, offering relief, comfort, and the promise of a brighter future for those affected by adversity in our region.
