The foundation changes its name to THE RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION and expands its focus beyond education.

The Foundation contributes more than $1 million to University of California, Riverside from endowed scholarship funds and grants.

Riverside banker and civic leader Charles Emory Brouse, establishes The Riverside Foundation, an endowment supporting student access to Riverside City College.
