Are you a nonprofit that supports the well-being of youth and teens in the Inland Empire? If this sounds like your organization, IECF’s Youth Grantmakers (YG) want to hear from you! Grants are available for nonprofits in Riverside, San Bernardino and Coachella Valley and the deadline to submit applications is March 5.

Started in 2009, the program was created to empower youth to address issues important to them by learning about and leading the grantmaking process. Not only do these young people become civically engaged, but better prepared for community leadership and more aware of the nonprofit sector.

During last year’s grant cycle, Youth Grantmakers dispersed $53,000 to 44 nonprofits with programs and projects serving youth in the region.

“Because of COVID our peers are facing tough times of isolation and uncertainty, and we want to help,” said Sophia Santoso, a participant of Youth Grantmakers. “If your organization is interested in submitting a proposal, it’s not too late to apply!”
