UplandCARES Fund

UplandCARES was established to provide timely support to individuals and families whose lives have been upended by unexpected tragedies. Whether responding to a mass casualty event or a large-scale incident that forces residents from their homes, the fund exists to help meet immediate and short-term needs that often arise in the days following a crisis. Community donations can provide assistance with essentials such as temporary housing, food, transportation, clothing, and other critical resources, helping victims and their families begin the difficult process of recovery when they need it most.

By creating this fund before disaster strikes, the City is ensuring that help can be delivered quickly, transparently, and fairly when the community needs it most. The fund is designed to bring neighbors, businesses, and community partners together in support of those affected, while providing a trusted, locally managed way for donations to make a meaningful impact. Inspired by lessons learned from communities across California, the fund reflects a commitment to preparedness, compassion, and resilience, ensuring that when tragedy occurs, our community is ready to stand together and help those most affected begin to rebuild their lives.
