A statement from our CEO Michelle Decker.

IECF believes justice was served for George Floyd and stands with its Black colleagues, partners, family and friends in the wake of yesterday’s guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin. We celebrate our Black-led organizations who work every day for justice and we are grateful for their incredible voices, vision, and persistence in the face of so much uncertainty and our shared ongoing work. Together they are helping African American youth and families succeed in the Inland Empire, and remain the strong coalition we need to combat racism and racial inequities affecting our community.

Now more than ever, we seek to reduce their burden by lifting up our voice against racism and elevating their work.

We will continue to be here for the Inland Empire, for all of its residents and leaders who celebrate the exceptional racial diversity of this region. Please see www.blackequity.org for more information, or go to www.iegives.org/ieblackequity to support the IE Black Equity Fund.
