IECF is pleased to welcome Michael Wiafe to the team! Michael is pursuing his Master of Public Policy degree at the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy, where he focuses on socioeconomic advancement, equity, and inequality. He is an emerging voice in young leadership and higher education with experience in research, philanthropy, advocacy, and public governance in California. For the next few months, Michael will work with IECF’s Office of Policy & Engagement as a Policy Analyst to fulfill his master’s capstone project. He’ll focus on a K-16 collaborative in the Inland Empire that will bring together education, business, and government experts around professional pathways and economic development. Julian Cuevas, Director of Policy & Governmental Affairs, leads IECF’s efforts to build partnerships and policy capacity in the region, including this latest project with Michael. “We are truly excited to have Michael on board,” said Cuevas,” Michael brings a vision and level of expertise and leadership that will resonate every step of the way.”
