Brie Griset Smith, CSPG

Chief Development Officer

Brie brings more than 25 years of fundraising leadership to IECF, with experience that spans health, education, sustainability, and equity across Southern California. She works with donors to build philanthropic strategies that create lasting impact, whether through personalized charitable funds, Signature Funds, or planned giving. A fifth-generation Southern Californian and Pepperdine graduate, Brie has raised over $250 million throughout her career and lives in Upland with her husband Peter and their cat Monroe.

Paula Myles, CSPG

Director of Donor Services

Paula spent more than two decades as IECF’s Chief Financial Officer before transitioning to her current role focused on donor relationships and engagement. She earned her Certified Specialist in Planned Giving designation in 2015, giving her deep expertise in complex charitable giving vehicles and tax strategies. A longtime Moreno Valley resident, Paula enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren when she’s not helping donors make a meaningful difference in the Inland Empire.

Michael Hinkle

Charitable Giving Officer, Coachella Valley

Michael is a Coachella Valley native who brings more than 20 years of donor relations and fundraising experience to IECF, most recently serving as Associate Director of Development at Palm Springs Art Museum. Born into a family of artists and makers, he approaches philanthropy with creativity and strategic vision. Michael and his wife of 35 years have raised four children to value social justice, diversity, and equality, and he’s passionate about helping build a more vibrant and equitable future for the Valley.

Claudia Preza, CSPG

Charitable Giving Officer, Riverside

Claudia brings 14 years of fundraising experience specializing in major and planned gifts, including her previous role raising funds for global humanitarian relief at the International Rescue Committee. An advocate for inclusive philanthropy, she’s particularly interested in BIPOC giving trends within the Latinx community. Based in Corona, Claudia holds degrees from Mount St. Mary’s University and Claremont Graduate University and enjoys traveling with her family and exploring the Inland Empire.
