Brian McDonald

Brian McDonald is a member of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe. He currently resides on the Chemehuevi Indian Reservation, with his wife Jacqueline, son Parker, daughter Vanessa, and father Neil “TwinDog” McDonald. Brian serves as Vice Chairman of the Tribe.

Brian has employment and board leadership history across several industries, and brings almost two decades of Tribal leadership experience.

His passions include Economic Development in Indian Country, Leadership Development of young men and women, and playing chess. This year he intends to field a Chemehuevi Chess Team at at least one major tournament, and in his role as Vice Chairman oversees the Tribal Realty and Planning Department, where there are currently several land use development projects in works- from roads to utility scale solar and broadband infrastructure.

Brian is excited to return to a role with the IECF, where, prior to the pandemic, he was engaged in the rebranding effort and selection of current and fearless leader, Michelle Decker.
